November 17 - CEP Welcomes The Pinnacle High School Marching Band to Westworld This Saturday
This coming Saturday, November 22nd, the Pinnacle High School Marching Band will perform in the Equidome as part of the opening ceremonies of the $20,000 Grand Prix of Scottsdale. The band is scheduled to perform at 6:35pm for about ten minutes and will play various selections. Then, the trumpet section will return to the arena floor at 7:25pm to play the National Anthem to kick off the Grand Prix. Band members and spectators should enter Westworld via Bell Road, then south on 94th Street. At the stop sign, you’ll see the Equidome in front of you (remember, it’s the permanent building, not the giant tan tent). Parking is free and is located in a large, open paved lot directly in front of you on the west side of the Equidome. Please park just outside the chain link fence and walk through to the doors, as the small area inside the fence is reserved for band trucks accessing the loading dock. Should you need further directions on Saturday, please contact the horse show office at 480-312-6820. Click here for a map of Westworld and directions into the property.

The Amateur Owner Hunter 3’3” section will remain on its originally scheduled days, but will now have its own $1000 A/O Hunter 3’3” Classic. The Junior Hunter sections will go on their originally scheduled days, and will have their own $1000 Junior Hunter Classic. All A/O and Junior Hunter Classics will be separate, two-round classics, which differs from what was erroneously published in the prize list.

September 3 - New Requirements To Bring Horses Onto Westworld Property
Due to recent concerns over equine health, Westworld has instituted new requirements for all horses entering Westworld property. A negative coggins, dated within the previous twelve (12) months, must accompany all horses brought onto Westworld property. A Health Certificate, dated within the previous thirty (30) days, must be presented for any horse originating outside of Arizona. These policies are currently in effect and will be so until further notice. So, all horses coming to Westworld for any CEP horse shows, from Hunt Cup to the “A” shows, must follow this policy.
August 14 - CEP To Offer Two National (A) Shows In October And Two National (A) Shows In November At Westworld
After all the speculation and negotiation, CEP is proud to announce that it will host two weeks of USEF National (A) rated shows at Westworld in October. The shows, called the Arizona Fall Preview (October 17-19) and the Arizona Fall Classic (October 24-26) had been in Queen Creek for the past two years, but due to their unsuccessful run down there, have been moved back to Westworld. Both shows will be identical, offering open and professional classes on Fridays, with junior and amateur hunter and equitation classes scheduled over the three days. Then the Arizona Season Finale I (November 13-16) and Arizona Season Finale II (November 20-23) finish the season at Westworld. Both shows are USEF National (A) rated with a $20,000 1.35m Grand Prix and a $2500 USHJA National Hunter Derby each week. The first week also hosts the 2014 USHJA Zone 8 Final while the second week plays host to the 2014 AHJA Medal Finals and the 2014 Greenway / CEP Equitation Classic Final. Four weeks of National (A) rated shows right here in Scottsdale at the prestigious Westworld Equestrian Center … stay at home every night, eat at home every night ... save a lot of money! The prize list will be available by the second week of September. CEP looks forward to hosting everyone back at Westworld this fall!
